“Youth Experiencing Success” (YES) Atlanta to host First Annual Gala honoring Judge Glenda Hatchett on November 5th!
The primary goal of YES is to increase the graduation rate from Atlanta’s inner-city schools. Through their ‘Rising Star’ programs the organization addressed key issues facing our youth, such as hopelessness about their future, lack of motivation in school, and distrust of adults. Showing students the possibilities for a better life and provide a foundation for personal success.YES!Atlanta provides long-term mentoring programs utilizing caring, trained adult volunteers.
Since 1988 YES!Atlanta has helped nearly a thousand “at-risk” youth turn their lives around. YES!Atlanta has long proven its worth, and was declared America’s 1003rd Point of Light by President George H.W. Bush According to the former Chief Justice of the Fulton County Juvenile Court, more than 70% of YES program participants performed better in school and left the juvenile justice system forever.
