3rd Annual Beauty & The Beat Awards Honors Women Leaders; Benefitting the Hip Hop Loves Foundation!

Celebrity DJ Jon Quick and some of his celebrity friends will host “Beauty and the Beat– Heroines of Excellence Awards”. The night will celebrate the talent and works of eight phenomenal women of color from various industries for a night of pure elegance, fun, dancing and philanthropy. Actress Osas Ighodaro, who is also the former 2010 Miss Black USA, is confirmed to attend and lend her support to this worthwhile event as the Mistress of Ceremonies.

Founded by legendary NYC deejay, DJ Jon Quick, the third annual awards is a party with a purpose for a cause. Beauty and The Beat will be honoring eight women of color, all of which have worked hard to become leaders in their respective industries.

Beauty & The Beat will also serve to raise money for a worthy cause. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charitable organization. This year’s charity is the Hip Hop Loves Foundation, which produces workshops, seminars, and events that create a space for dialogue and exploration centered on the themes of success, youth empowerment and social justice through Hip-Hop with a global context.

Honorees include: Tara Dowdell (CEO of the Tara Dowdell Group), Syreta Oglesby (CEO/Publicist – SJO PR), Hideko Bartell (International Talent Booking Agent), Dr. Aletha Maybank (Dept of Health- Asst. Commissioner), Janine Saulsbury (CEO – Share for Life Foundation), Dolores Concepcion (Marketing Director at Moet Hennessy), Delores Hoskins Auguet (General Manager at Top Tier Hospitality), and Jodi Brockington (Marketing Consultant).
