Four years ago at the age of 2, Leslie Stoves, founder of Childhood C.A.R.E.’s son was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, the cancer has come back twice; he is now 6 yrs old. Leslie started the nonprofit Childhood C.A.R.E. (Cancer Awareness Reaching Everyone) to give back. The organization deals with families that are going through what we once went through.
As a newly established organization,Childhood C.A.R.E.a is here to raise awareness and get everyone’s attention focused where it is needed most; Our Kids. This organization will not only focus on raising awareness but to also do as much as possible to help the families of patients that have been diagnosed with cancer. This deadly disease affects many different people worldwide for reasons unknown. Many people have forgotten that kids have cancer too and they can’t fight this nasty disease alone. Let’s paint the world gold!
Bundles of C.A.R.E. is the organization’s signature program aimed at helping patients and their families while in the hospital. The bundles consist of small toiletries, candies, entertainment books and other items designed to make hospital living a little easier.
