The mission of Beyond the Game is to provide youth education parallel with athletics and encourage entrepreneurship with focus on philanthropy to live a well-balanced life. The organization has done tremendous work for the people of Swaziland, Africa. Swaziland has a population of 950,000 and of that, 120,000 are orphans, 44.6% of the people have AIDS and the average life expectancy is 28.7 years. Reality star and philanthropist Chanita Foster and her husband NFL star George Foster have rallied a bevy of stars for a benefit concert, titled a Concert for a Cause. Celebrity guests and partcipants include: Jason Terry of the Boston Celtics, Q Parker, RL, Terri J. Vaughn-Riley, Reggie Evans, Josh Howard, Shirley Strawberry, Karon Riley, Roger Bobb, Jacob Latimore, and Kandi Buruss to name a few. The event will also honor Crystal Steverson of the Be A Role Model organization and Maureen Kornowa of the North Gwinnett Co-Op.
