Giving Boutique Teen Ambassador Tori Turner Releases New Book and Host Skate Party for the Cause!

 Fourteen year old Tori Turner is no stranger to appearing at the Essence Festival in New Orleans as she appeared last year as the 2012 Miss Black Louisiana USA Talented Teen. This year she returns as a published author under Delphine Publications in Atlanta, GA having her first book, “When I Decided to D.R.E.A.M. Big” picked up by Essence Festival Bookstore. As a featured Essence Festival bookstore author, Tori will conduct an official signing on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, located at 900 Convention Center Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70130. Additional signings to be held on July 4-5, 2013 at the Delphine Publications vendor tent located on Poydras Street.

In addition to her official Essence appearances, Turner will be out and about in the community giving of her talents and time for other worthy causes. She is poised to speak at the 2013 Bayou Soul Writers and Readers Conference Youth Event, held every year just days before Essence Festival kicks off. This year’s event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Marriott Convention Center downtown New Orleans. Turner will speak to youth about “Claiming Their Destiny.” Turner is also set to deliver a message to young girls at the IMPACT Charity Experience’s Desire To Inspire event held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at New Home Ministries on the topic “I AM because I say and believe I AM.”
Turner’s busy schedule doesn’t stop with media and author appearances. Turner will host a Skate For The Cause Event sponsored by T Star Entertainment, Delphine Publications, and Black Celebrity Giving on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 7pm – 11pm at Skate Country, 1100 Terry Pkwy, Terrytown, LA benefitting homeless children and teens through Black Celebrity Giving’s – Giving Boutique. Event will feature a performance by Sony Red recording artist Sharve’ of Houston, TX. Tickets are currently on sale at www.skate4cause.eventbrite.com and will also be sold at the door for $8. One half of all proceeds will purchase new clothing for homeless children and teens across the U.S. You can also find Turner volunteering her time at IMPACT Feed the Hungry Enrichment Experience on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at New Home Ministries. Turner’s efforts in and around the state of Louisiana are not limited to events such as Essence Festival.

Tori is the founder of Tori Turner’s D.R.E.A.M. BIG Foundation (New Orleans, LA), author with Delphine Publications (Atlanta, GA), motivational speaker at Young Black Minds, LLC. (Las Vegas, NV) and CEO of T Star Entertainment (New Orleans, LA).
