Former Miami Heat superstar and 2014 National Basketball Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning, The Mourning Family Foundation (MFF) will present the Inaugural Zo’s Winter Groove (ZWG) – the sister event to Zo’s Summer Groove of years past.
The three-day “Groove” will feature Zo’s Family Health & Wellness Groove presented by Foot Locker and the City of Miramar and community partners, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Pkwy, Miramar, FL 33027 from 10am-2pm.
Co-presented by the City of Miramar, Zo’s Health & Wellness Groove invites families to converge on Miramar Regional Park for events such as a 5k run/walk (6:30am registration and 8:00am start time), health screenings (blood pressure, HIV/AIDS, dental, posture and body fat testing), fun zones (i.e. bounce houses, face painting, obstacle courses and jungle gyms) and sport clinics 11am-2pm (basketball (ages 7-16) & football (ages 6-14)) for a full day of activities encouraging a healthy lifestyle. This event is in recognition of Alonzo Mourning’s recent appointment to President Obama’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition.
