The mission of Meeting the Need Consulting is to train, inspire, empower and mentor at-risk youth to deal with life’s challenges in a positive way.
Meeting The Need Consulting Inc formerly known as Youth in Effect Inc. was the first youth organization owned and managed by a pioneer rap artist.
Ms. Victory Ledgerwood, who has been serving at risk teens from diverse backgrounds, by providing specially designed character development training workshops, support services and some recreational activities targeting teenagers in socio-economically depressed city neighborhoods.
Organizations who have benefited tremendously from the programs and services have been Covenant House, The New York state Department of Juvenile Justice, Peter J. Sharp DJJ Non-Secure Detention Facility, The Miller Branch Library of New Jersey, The New York City Board of Education (Bronx and Brooklyn Schools), and the Brownsville Bible Mission.
