Location Last Seen: Naketa Leiba, was last seen getting off her school bus on Wednesday afternoon.
Circumstances of Disappearance: Typically, the teen takes the bus from South Broward High School to Annabel C. Perry Elementary School where she’s either picked up by a relative or makes a walk of about 25 minutes home. After being dropped off near the 6800 block of Southwest 34th Street on Wednesday, Leiba telephoned her mother, for a ride home. Her mother said she wasn’t able to immediately leave work to pick up her daughter and Naketa indicated she would probably walk home rather than wait for her mother, but she never made it. When her mother dialed her daughter’s cellphone, Naketa answered. “She said, ‘I’m on the way,'” Sharon Leiba said. “Then, there was a muffled sound and the phone went dead…it’s been going straight to voicemail ever since.” Her parents say last year a man in a car stalked her several times when she walked home from her school bus stop. Police have not said if these incidents are related to Leiba’s disappearance.
Last Seen Wearing: She was wearing a red Abercrombie & Fitch short-sleeve shirt and blue jeans on the day she went missing.
Identifying Marks or Characteristics: Unknown
