Miss Africa USA 2011-2012 Ghyslaine Tchouaga, tells BCG her platform is threefold as follows:
- Raise awareness and funds to Fight Against Hunger in the Horn of Africa, particularly in Somalia.
- Promote education of Orphans in Cameroon.
- Provide medical equipments, supplies and medications to underserved communities in Cameroon.
In the few months of her reign she has volunteered with the Martha’s Table, Meals on wheels, the Red Cross, Churches, and schools. Her latest service was done at the DC General Family Shelter, where she dedicated her birthday this year to the residents of the DC General Family Shelter. Hosting more than 134 families, it is DC’s largest shelter. During her service there, we donated winter gear to families as well as got to know them more.
