Several celebrities, including: GRAMMY®-award winning artist Yolanda Adams, R&B singer/songwriter Musiq Soulchild, award-winning gospel music artist James Fortune and gospel music artist Dorothy Norwood showed their support during the fifth annual Radio Cares for St. Jude Kids national event, which raised more than $1 million to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital provide the best care to the world’s sickest children at no cost to their family.
The all-day event on April 5 kicked-off at 5 a.m. with Radio One syndicated shows, including the Yolanda Adams Morning Show and ended at 11 p.m. with the CoCo Brother Live show and other affiliate stations in 11 markets across the country, all asking loyal listeners to donate to St. Jude to help children battling cancer, sickle cell and other deadly diseases.
