Recently Extra Reporter and former host of BET’s 106 & Park, AJ Calloway, took to the airwaves on NY’s Breakfast Club on Power 105 FM, to talk about his philanthropic endeavor, Building the Bridge Foundation.
Building The Bridge Foundation is the brainchild of AJ Calloway, an alumni of Howard University who saw the need to encourage Alumni to not only return to campus for homecoming, but to also give back to current students. The Building the Bridge Foundation consists simply of concerned alumnus that want to give back and mentor current students at their university. Who better to help guide a student in the correct direction than someone who has navigated the same hallways, I agree? This weekend Howard U celebrates it’s homecoming festivities and AJ has a few events lined up to give back to students with scholarship money. On Saturday, October the organization will host it’s Inaugural Scholarship Benefit Gala, followed by a Gospel Brunch on sunday.
