Bank of America Local Grants
We believe strong neighborhoods develop leaders who, together with their friends, colleagues and local nonprofits and businesses, build vibrant, healthy communities where we all live and work.
We believe developing relationships with and investing in local nonprofits/charitable organizations, recognizing and training leaders and partnering with national organizations builds healthy communities.
We create meaningful impact in communities through dialogue between our local market leaders and the companies and community partners in their neighborhoods. This dialogue continues every day in each community we serve. We focus on identifying and responding to local needs.
Our Philanthropic Mission
By directing funds to the people who best know the community issues and needs in their local communities, we engage local community stakeholders and address pressing community needs for long-term positive change.
How do we execute our mission?
Bank of America’s local market presidents and their local leadership teams help identify how to deploy charitable funds in the community through the following:
* Consulting with local community leaders and stakeholders to determine the most pressing challenges of each community

* Investing in charitable grants to local, regional, and Learn more about Bank of America’s national programs and partners
* Funding Learn more about Bank of America’s anchor institutions program such as colleges, hospitals, and museums to help create economic stability and generate economic growth
* Demonstrating thought leadership by convening local leaders to discuss issues, share best practices, and elevate the level of knowledge to address complex challenges
* Determining organizations and causes that will be supported by Bank of America Learn more about our local grants
Each of these tactics is based on Bank of America’s on-the-ground leaders reaching out to the people who can understand and articulate the needs of their communities and provide the most effective partnerships to address those needs.
