February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month! BCG is hosting a series of onsite events and online campaigns as part of our signature domestic violence initiative Beauty For The Bold to support the cause and we need your help. Our teen program will focus on starting the dialogue about domestic violence with our youth, the event series titled ‘We Speak’ is slated to hit 10 cities next month.
Did you know that in the U.S., 25% of high school girls have been abused physically or sexually. And here’s another fact roughly 1.5 million high school boys and girls in the U.S. admit to being hit or physically harmed in the last year by someone they are romantically involved with. Next month we will host a series of Beauty for the Bold ‘We Speak’ girl talk chats at high schools and with youth groups across the county. We’re creating a social media guide and tool kit which we want to share with you so you can help us spread the message. We’ll also share some stories of survival, host Twitter Chats and much more.
