Beyoncé Says “It Only Takes One Plate” to change a life and we could not agree more. Beyoncé and her mother, Tina Knowles, are stepping up to the plate. They want to raise awareness for the one in six Americans that go hungry as a result of economic down time, underemployment, and unemployment. Teaming up with Houston-based non-profit organization, Bread of Life, Inc., they are fighting to help the less fortunate with their fundraising campaign “Miss A Meal”.
The Bread of Life, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides solutions for the Hungry and Homeless. They are serving 14,000 meals per month. The Bread of Life distributes 9 tons of fresh food every Wednesday through a Community Wide Food Fair and Senior Supplemental Food Program.
By donating only $1to Miss A Meal, people are helping to provide a person with a well-balanced meal. Celebrities like Trey Songz and Eric Roberson have already gotten involved with the campaign.
