Last month, Gucci announced CHIME FOR CHANGE, a new global campaign focused on girls’ and women’s empowerment. Celebrity ambassadors include Beyonce’ Knowles-Carter, Frida Giannini and Salma Hayek Pinalut. As the founder of CHIME FOR CHANGE, Gucci has brought together a coalition of individuals and organizations to promote Education, Health and Justice for girls and women everywhere.
” I have always felt strongly about equal opportunity for women. Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be. It’s up to us to change the statistics for women around the world. I’m honored to be in the company of women who live fearlessly and set an example for the next generation of young ladies,” says Beyoncé.
Today, CHIME FOR CHANGE announced THE SOUND OF CHANGE LIVE, a global concert event to put the advancement of girls and women on the world’s stage. Mark your calendar and make plans to join Gucci on 1 June 2013 in London. Tickets will be on sale starting tomorrow, Wednesday 27 March at 9AM. Don’t worry even if you’re not in the UK you can catch the show which will be headlined by the Queen Bey herself. The event, which will be broadcast around the world, will also feature performances from Florence and the Machine, Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Rita Ora, Laura Pausini and Timbaland.
