BlackCelebrityGiving.com (BCG) and Just Act Strategy Firm (Just Act) have teamed up to host a nationwide tour to empower nonprofits to ‘Thrive’ by providing resources, information and strategies to reach their mission. The impetus behind the upcoming tour is to help leaders of nonprofits and social enterprises embrace new opportunities to thrive and impact their communities. Beginning September 8th, 2012 thru November 10th, 2012; BCG and Just Act will voyage the country for the Inaugural Nonprofit Workshop Series ‘Thrive’. Bringing together social entrepreneurs, nonprofit, community, civic, and business leaders, volunteers and corporate outreach coordinators the tour aims to build a greater understanding of giving and resources to impact social change. Attendees will join an inspiring and unique community of leaders to creatively secure resources, gain new perspective about their efforts, and develop concise and strategic plans to blossom in today’s society as a nonprofit.
BlackCelebrityGiving.com is already one of the most widely respected and established online information portals for charities and philanthropists in the United Stares. With a following of over 35,000 people; In just one year Black Celebrity Giving has helped countless organizations with assistance in growing and sustaining their nonprofit organization on a weekly basis with the #BCGNonprofitTips hour, one-on-one feedback, donations, grants and resources. During the tour, BCG will provide information about BCG Seed Funding Grants for nonprofits in the start-up stage or established organizations looking to create a new project or program, among resources from the country’s leading providers for nonprofits including: Good 360, Foundation Center, SnoBall, the GivCause network to name a few. The tour will address leading nonprofit capacity building topics including: Marketing and Brand Management, Compliance with the IRS, Story Telling, Social Media, Fundraising and Revenue Development, Giving Circles and the Black Male Initiative.

Atlanta: Marketing and Brand Management: What is branding, marketing and public relations and how it affects your nonprofit?
Houston: Messaging: What’s your story? How storytelling can draws new supporters for your cause.
New York: Staying Motivated with your Cause: Self Care and Leadership plus Garnering Corporation Sponsorship.
Los Angeles: The Black Man Can Symposium: Developing Collaborative Solutions for the Black Male Initiative.
The registration fee for each workshop will vary by city and include: food and beverages, resource guide, Thrive workshop, swag bag, additionally the workshop may be eligible for continuing education credit in select cities.
