Many people around the globe are fighting for their cause; but BCG Change-Maker Billy “Goodnight” Cross is taking his fight to the ring. Billy Cross has been a law enforcement officer for over ten years. During that time, he has witnessed firsthand the devastation and distress caused by violent sexual crimes. Understanding that the healing process is challenging and that no one should have to go through it alone; he has decided to literally fight for the cause.
On September 29, 2012, Cross will be participating in a “mixed martial arts” event in Baltimore, Maryland. He’ll be fighting for survivors of rape, abuse, and incest. His goal is to raise at least $10,000; Cross believes that with your donations, however large or small, we all can make a tremendous impact. Just $10 – the price of one lunch – will help one survivor to take the first step toward reclaiming their life.
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is an organization worth believing in. As the nation’s leader in the fight against sexual assault, they’ve helped over 1.6 million survivors through the National Sexual Assault Hotlines.
RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. RAINN is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and was named one of “America’s 100 Best Charities” by Worth magazine. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) in partnership with more than 1,100 local rape crisis centers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.
