Zina Age, a native of New Orleans is the President, CEO , and Founder of Aniz, Inc. anon-profit community-based agency established in the state of Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi to provide comprehensive health and awareness education and prevention services for disadvantaged minority youth, young adults and families, and to provide skills training for organizations that implement disease prevention and health promotion promotions.
Over the past ten years, Zina Age has become a world traveler in which she has visited several cities in the United States and abroad including France, Spain, Japan, Jamaica and several African countries. Her collaboration with these sister countries has certainly produced a network of friends with cohorts in these foreign countries.
Aniz INC has a series of programs that they use in order to implement the message of their program. One of the important programs is Grandparents Hands. The program empowers men and women over 50 years of age to promote healthy lifestyle choices and reduce at-risk behaviors. They are striving to create volunteer leaders that will serve as HIV/AIDS programs advocates and teach workshop sessions in their peers, as well as younger generations.
Funding provided in part by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners under the guidance of the Housing and Human Services Department Grant Programs.
I’m proud to say that I am one of so many that Zina Age has educated about AIDS and how through simply connecting the dots we all can stop the spread of this killer disease through education and intervention.
