Created, founded and funded in 2010 by Golden State Warriors All-Star Forward Dorell Wright, the D. Wright Way Foundation is dedicated to enthusing and cultivating young scholars into productive and active participants of society.
Their mission is to ensure that the needs of the whole child are met through the development of programs and support of community based organizations that foster excellence in the area’s of health, education and social well being within urban and ethnically diverse communities.
They believe that through benevolent acts, encouragement, and proper guidance we can aid in the development, mentoring and support of the most influential leaders of tomorrow. Serving inner-city communities and underserved youth, the D. Wright Way Foundation has created programs that are tailored towards the elevation, transformation and empowerment of today’s young minds, motivating them to reach their full potential. The foundation sponsors many programs through out the year such as toy drives, talking at schools, volunteering in the communities, D Wright Way Basketball Camp and the KB3 Scholarship in collaboration with the UNCF which is in memory of his late teammate.
Dorell Wright, know for his three point shooting with the Golden State Warriors believes that the promise of tomorrow lies within the youth of today, the D. Wright Foundation is committed to inspiring youth to reach their full potential.
