Will I ever stop loving all of these amazing do-gooders committed to changing our world, let me think, ummm… No! I love to receive charity submissions and today’s spotlight is making me grin. Meet The Duke and Duchess Kids Foundation, Inc. their mission is to provide guidance and support to disadvantaged kids and their families. The foundation grew out of a vision and passion to serve abused, homeless and disadvantaged children. When the founders became aware of the growing need of services for these kids, they founded an organization to service youth in Dekalb County, GA and the surrounding Metro Atlanta area.
provides services to youth 0 to 21 years of age who have experienced abuse, neglect, violence, abandonment, and/or are in need of loving care. The Duke and Duchess Kids Foundation provide services to children of every race, color and religion. Their vision is to provide disadvantaged children and youth with services that promote positive changes and growth in their lives.
The foundation prides itself on providing an opportunity for the children to develop self-esteem and experience trusting relationships with peers and adults. Their programs focus on empowering each child and enhancing their ability to function successfully in society.
Aware that many of these children have experienced all kinds’ of circumstances, The Duke and Duchess Kids Foundation, Inc. is available every day of the year to help end their hurt and start the healing.
Their programs include:
Mentoring- The Duke and Duchess Kids Foundation, Inc is a firm believer in mentoring our kids to build a trusting relationship, taking on the role of big brother and big sister and become dedicated mentors to our kids.
Street Outreach- The Duke and Duchess Kids Foundation, Inc. hits the streets of Metro Atlanta going from shelter to shelter to provide items needed in order to provide continuous support to the kids in crisis. They also partner with other organizations during their street giving events.
Meal Services- The Duke and Duchess Kids Foundation, Inc provides monthly meals to our partner shelters. The foundation provides lunch on the weekends and supper occasionally during the week.
Their list of programs go on and on and we love their commitment to the greater good, especially our children. Each day I post a charity spotlight I’m reminded that if we all do our part indeed we are making change.
