Charity Spotlight: Grand Wish Foundation

The Grand Wish Foundation grants wishes to economically disadvantaged elderly persons. Their mission is to honor elders by helping them fulfill their dreams by granting wishes.

Grand Wish Foundation’s purpose is to grant wishes for senior citizens, 70 years or older. For elders in nursing facilities or living in their own homes, our goal is to uplift them since their dreams are important. The organization tells BCG they truly believe that these dreams will help to raise the level of the public’s awareness of the untapped knowledge and wisdom of our oldest generation.

Jobi Tyson is the founder & president of Grand Wish who realized her true calling and believes it’s time to celebrate the life of an elder in the form of a wish come true. Grand Wish Foundation honors every wish recipient with the wish of their dreams.

The Vision of Grand Wish is to help those who have helped us.

Through the generosity of those who donate, along with volunteers and staff, Grand Wish has been able to continue to remind caregivers and adult children caring for our elders to remember to ask: Do you have a dream? Then listen closely. The magic of a dream may unfold before your eyes.

These dreams will help to raise the level of the public’s awareness of the untapped knowledge and wisdom of our oldest generation. Through our efforts, we will begin to erase the stigma of being older while unveiling lifelong dreams.

GWF is a 501(c)(3) completely supported by grants, individual donations, and donors/sponsorships from corporations.

As a prominent business woman, Jobi Tyson has successfully run an Advertising Agency for non-profits. As a marketing, branding and non-profit expert, she’s been dubbed “The Queen of Marketing,” winning numerous awards for her marketing and branding campaigns. Jobi Tyson has over 10 years’ experience in the nonprofit profession in all aspects of Operations, Marketing and Development.
