The organization, through it’s website, Facebook page and Twitter provide’s public safety alerts and education that can help prevent the unfortunate from happening. KMUPS does not charge for  their services and are ultimately committed to bringing as many missing people home as possible.

There have been an overwhelming number of cases of missing persons are encountered in particular circumstances in which human rights are seriously abused. This is remarkably so in Kenya where people go missing in various incidents, some isolated, others systematic, that fail to get publicity or cannot be directly labeled as armed conflict or internal violence. The tragedy that befalls the relatives of these missing persons in such circumstances is equal to that of war victims. The lack of the necessary facilities and organizations in their respective local regions leaves an open void, that KMUPS is hoping to fill. The organization believes all families deserve help facing the tragedy of a loved one’s disappearance.

KMUPS  plays an active role in providing them with comfort, assistance and resources while educating the public and increasing awareness of missing person’s cases. To learn more about KMUPS visit  www.kmups.org, like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.
