Leading Ladies of Legacy produces young women who have strong academic backgrounds, understand and build resilience, fight and overcome poverty, exude self-worth and confidence, give back to the community and display leadership. Through membership meetings, programs, events, and community service we will identify and challenge young women to develop compassion, confidence, and a commitment to service and leadership within their communities.
Our Mission
Leading Ladies of Legacy Inc. seeks to improve the lives of girls and young women in the greater Atlanta area by increasing leadership and highlighting, educating, and promoting the importance of leadership skills, education, community service and character.
Why It Matters
Lack of leadership, lack of seriousness towards education, lack of knowledge, selfishness and loss of standards are amongst minority females, is the root of social challenges one of which is producing unproductive citizens. Leading Ladies of Legacy, Inc. provides programs that help support education, display leadership, serve the community and develop character. The current programs are listed below:
-Teen Advisory Board
The Teen Advisory Board is a governing board with teens who want to serve in leadership positions within the organization.
-Young Entrepreneur Sisters
Leading Ladies of Legacy Inc. works to bring education and economic opportunity to girls and young women in Atlanta through a variety of programs. Leading Ladies of Legacy Inc. operates an after-school program called Young Entrepreneur Sisters. We run an educational program that offers entrepreneurship training to girls and young women. Young Entrepreneur Sisters offers leadership training, business plandevelopment, public speaking, and nutritious snacks to girls in middle school and high school.Classes are run in partnership with community-based organizations and schools.

-SOAR Young Women’s Leadership Academy
Soar Young Women’s Leadership Academy is an academic enrichment and leadership program serving high school females who seek to gain leadership skills. SYWLA serves young adults ages 14-18 in Cobb, Fulton, and Dekalb Counties. A completed application and parental consent waiver is required for program participation. SYWLA students will take part in a variety of activities, workshops, and events that emphasize growth in leadership, internships and scholarships, college preparation, goal setting and attainment, professional development & entrepreneurship.
Soar Young Women’s Leadership Academy Sessions are held every 2nd Saturday, 10 am-1:00 pm. Location information will be detailed once students have been enrolled.
-Girls to Greatness Mentoring Program (G2G)Girls to Greatness is a career mentoring program that partners girls at local high schools in Cobb County with local corporations. Girls have the opportunity to attend group mentoring sessions and hear from the corporate leaders about education/academic support and career exploration.
-Sisters Who Serve
Sisters who serve is a community service initiative and commitment from all members of Leading Ladies of Legacy, Inc. The young ladies are required to participate in one community service project per month. Projects are based on community needs.
-S.C.H.O.L.A.R.S.
This program provides girls with academic success training. The goal of the program is to rekindle the girls commitment to learning and begin successful in the classroom. We will teach study skills, vocabulary, note taking, and memory skills. S.C.H.O.L.A.R.S. also prepares ladies for the balance between academics and social life.
