The Angelrock Project is an online e-village that promotes volunteering, social responsibility, and sustainable change. The site seeks to provide potential volunteers with information on how to provide a life of service. Malaak Compton-Rock, wife of comedian Chris Rock, is the founder and director of the Angelrock Project. She highlights many of the philanthropic causes and humanitarian campaigns that she supports or coordinates through her blog on the site.

There are 6 main causes that Compton-Rock works on full-time. Journey for Change: Empowering Youth for Global Change is a global volunteer exchange program for at-risk youth. Brooklyn Services aids youth in the Brooklyn borough through partnerships with the Salvation Army. The Champions for Children Campaign provides child abuse awareness and prevention to restore hope for youth. The Hurricane Katrina Relief aids families devastated by the storm through partnerships with organizations like the Children’s Defense Fund’s Freedom School in the 9th Ward of New Orleans and Bonita House of Hope. She also supports South Africa Programs which focus on educational and micro-finance projects in Johannesburg and Soweto, South Africa. Finally, Compton-Rock works with The Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation to raise awareness and funds for triple negative breast cancer.
