Meet the an awe-inspiring organization, Providing Ultimate Life-sustaining Strategies through Education, locally known as PULSE. A 501(c)3 nonprofit community based organization located in Baldwin County, Alabama. The organization mobilizes for all community initiatives, with a concentration on HIV/AIDS Outreach.
Founded in 2007, PULSE is staffed by volunteers and funded mostly out of pocket by it’s founders. PULSE is recognized by the Alabama Department of Public Health and other local and national organizations for it’s work for the cause of HIV/AID prevention and awareness.
PULSE has a mission to:
- Support and assist individuals in maintaining a high quality of life through assistance, advocacy, and education.
- To promote safer practices through education and prevention activities in the local and regional communities.
- To dispel the myths and stereotypes as well as educate on sexual health and awareness.
- To network with organizations in the communities they serve.
The organization’s  vision is to equip community gatekeepers with the information and resources that will help to promote health and general well being in their communities. Through workshops and seminars, we also equip the general public with information on health disparities and its affects.
