Women On Maintaining Education and Nutrition (W.O.M.E.N.)
WOMEN is a community based organization out of Nashville, TN, their mission is to “bridge service gaps to reduce health disparities.” WOMEN is the ONLY Community Based Organization in Tennessee that is Founded and lead by an African American mother living with AIDS: Catherine Wyatt-Morley, diagnosed in 1994, contracting HIV from her husband. She is a four time author and an International AIDS Activist and has been on tv shows such as CNN, MSNBC, and Oprah. WOMEN provides outreach, education, and an array of other programs to benefit the target population that is affected by HIV/AIDS: African American Women. Although their primary focus is on African American Women, we do not discriminate against anyone who comes in our doors.
