The winner of the 2014 Young, Black and Giving Award goes to Lauren and Victoria Coaxum, together these sisters started a movement called Think Before You Type to combat cyber bullying.
The winner of the Best Nonprofit in the Northeast Region is Hip Hop 4 Life of New York, NY is a champion of positive youth development and empowerment.
The winner of the Best Nonprofit Southeast Region goes to the Beyond the Game, their mission is to provide youth education parallel with athletics and encourage entrepreneurship with focus on philanthropy to live a well balanced life. Beyond the Game currently feeds close to 1000 children 365 days a year, 2 meals a day!
The winner of the Best Nonprofit in the Midwest goes to RUBIES INC. Their mission is to encourage young ladies to realize their full potential through an elevated level of self worth, self-love and self-determination.
The winner of the Best Nonprofit of the Year Southwest Region goes to Women Empowering Nations, dedicated to the advancement of girls and women through self esteem development, educational, and leadership outreach programs. .
The winner of the Best Nonprofit organization for the Western Region goes to The Perlman Foundation, whose mission is to bridge support gaps by assisting lower income children, families and charitable organizations that are working to improve communities throughout the United States.
The winner of the 2014 BCG Rising Star Award goes to Sydney’s Book Club, a structured learning program, offering various resources devoted to promoting early reading and literacy skills in children ages 3-5.
The winner of the 2014 BCG Best Corporate Giving Award goes to DTLR who participates in several local giving efforts and works nationally with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The winner of the 2014 BCG Volunteer of the Year goes to Olivia Stinson an active servant to the community who collected over 1200 books to set up a library for women released from prison at New Beginnings Transitional Home.
