Live in Philadelphia area? Have a daughter who wants to learn how to code? If yes, then this event is for you! Girl Code is a youth empowerment project designed by The Cupcake Society and geared towards teens (ages 12 – 18yrs) to achieve and reach their full potential by creating a strong foundation of girl empowerment.
Since 2014, the mission of The Cupcake Society has been to inspire and support healthy development by providing the information and the resources teenage girls need to succeed. Girl Code seeks to build self- esteem and self-worth of young women by broadening their horizons.
The event promises to provide a unique opportunity to express in a meaningful way, the concerns which young females face on the daily basis. Noting the lack of educational programs as a huge challenge in the community, one which creates enormous barriers to girls seeking to reach their full potential. The Girl Code event is sure to be one the attending girls will not soon forget.
