Being a good person is often payment enough for those who do acts of kindness, but Delta Air Lines is looking to help family and friends honor those who give back by conducting a contest that awards the nicest people with free flights or other gifts.
Called the “The Give Back Project,” the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card team has designed a contest that allows people to nominate Good Samaritans who are constantly giving, but never receive the credit and honor they deserve.
Those who think they know someone who fits the bill as a selfless person, it’s as simple as visiting the competition’s official website, asking for a reasonable gift for the kind-hearted nominee, and sending in a video or essay explaining why they’re the right choice.
The gift requests cannot exceed $15,000, but they don’t have to deal with flying. While a flight to see family the person has not seen in awhile is a possibility, anything that would help repay a good person is acceptable. As stated in the official contest rules, part of the judging process is how feasible fulfilling the gift request will be for Delta.
The deadline for submissions is June 8, and the two winners will be announced on June 18.
