Drake Voyages to Houston to Grant the Wish of 15 Year Brain Cancer Patient!

If there was an award for “Best Giving Record Label”, Cash Money or shall I say Young Money, just might win it. Last week, we shared how Nikki Minaj made a wish come true for a five year old cancer patient, by not only spending the day with her, but also blessing her with her very own pink wig as she undergoes chemotherapy. On Saturday, Drake joined in on the giving, following in Nikki’s footsteps by making the wish of  15 year old, Kennedy Brown of Houston, TX, a young girl in a serious battle with cancer.  Her story has touched thousands including her high school pals who last week, threw her a ‘high school in a day’ experience, crowned her prom queen and congratulated her in a private graduation ceremony.  The students, whom I just adore by the way, created a hashtag ‘drakeforken,’ within hours of  the story airing on local Houston new affiliate KTRK, it went viral, trending in Houston and other US cities, Twitter lit up with #drakeforken.

Hi. I am a student at Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston, Texas. A friend of mine has a serious case of terminal brain cancer that she has been battling for a year and a half now. Just recently, she has gotten much worse. On Monday, we will be celebrating her life, and because she is only a freshman, we will be giving her the entire high school experience in one day (prom, graduation, etc.) She is your biggest fan, and it would mean so much to her if you could come meet her or at least send something. We aren’t sure how much time she has left; she has been in hospice and is immobilized. Please help! It would mean the world to her and all of us. Thank you #Drakeforken

People from across the country sent thousands of tweets to get Drake’s attention, but it was ultimately Drake who made it happen.
