When you think of your local radio hosts, the word philanthropist may not immediately come to mind; but if you are living in Atlanta, GA and you hear the name Frank Ski, that work goes hand in hand. Over the weekend Ski hosted a youth football challenge, awarding $20,000 to the winning football team. The giving continued over to last night, where Frank Ski and his lovely wife Tanya; held the 9th Annual Frank Ski Celebrity Wine Tasting benefiting the Frank Ski Kids Foundation!
The event was created to attract a selective group of Tastemakers who share a love of wine and philanthropy. In past years it hasn’t been uncommon to rub elbows with the likes of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Atlanta’s current or past mayors and this year was certainly different. The legendary Stevie Wonder was among the many celebrities that included: host Boris Kodjoe, Kevin Liles, Young Jeezy and many more.
With an estimated $1 million raised for the foundation over the last 8 years, the ability to send several kids to Harvard and an opportunity to provide children with hands-on experiences vital to furthering their ambitions; remains the mission of the Frank Ski Kids Foundation.
