The Game’s Robin Hood Project Hopes to Cease Fire on Gun Violence!

The Game

Jayceon Taylor also known as the Game is like my new favorite person, simply because he gives back. You will remember a few months ago, we shined light on his Robin Hood Project, a campaign he launched to simply give $1 million to people in need, in his words just because he felt like it. The campaign has since gained a lot of momentum with other celebrities including: Drake, Khole Kardashian and more chipping in to help people world wide. It started when donated his first $10,000 to support funeral costs for a six year old girl named Tiana.

He wrote: ”This very sad story hit me in a place nothing ever has. The picture above is of 6 year old “Tiana Ricks” who was gunned down in Moreno Valley this past weekend holding onto her fathers leg as men approached & opened fire wounding both Tiana & her father…. Tiana did not know she was shot & kept asking was her father okay until 2 1/2 hours later when lil Tiana was passed away just after midnite on Sunday… I read about this story here in Australia & immediately tracked down her mother @lost_the_love_of_my_life & noticed her & the family trying to raise $10,000 for funeral costs…. So I got her on a 3 way with my accountant & now I’m in the process of transferring $10,000 from my account to hers !!!!!

His new effort calls to Cease Fire and I’m here for it, I like many of us, am just plain sick of all this violence killing our babies. It all started when this precious seven year old baby, Talaib Pecante, (photo below) was killed. The Game according to Huffington Post, has sought a temporary cease-fire from gang members in Los Angeles after Talaib died in an apparent gang-related shooting.

The 34-year-old LA-native raised $17,000  to help the family of Talaib Pecante after taking pledges from ‘top-ranking gang members’ in the city.

This act sparked a movement which yo may have seen on the Instagram pages of some of your favorite celebrities, the #CeaseFire movement. What started with a tweet with the hashtag #CeaseFireLA has since seen #CeaseFireChicago , #CeaseFireNewOrleans and many more. I’d just like to thank The Game for continuously using his celebrity to do good and let us all support this movement! Stay tuned to BCG for more updates on this campaign!
