This month we celebrate 4 years in business, it’s our birthday!!!!! We set out to show the world all the good things that black celebrities and block people do everyday, taking place in communities all over the world. We wanted to tell the GOOD story, to stay gossip free. We wanted to honor and celebrate those who live to give and show them that we see you and we thank you! But most importantly we wanted to do good things. Over the past four years we’ve featured thousands of nonprofits and causes on our site, donated nearly 30,000 books to kids, schools and youth programs, provided domestic violence victims with makeovers and shelters with hair supplies, registered over 1,500 new voters, cooked and served nearly 20,000 meals to the homeless, helped people with their resumes and provided them with clothing to find jobs, collected and distributed over 11,000 pairs shoes, honored countless do-gooders, we’ve held diaper drives for orphanages in Haiti, helped find over 17 missing people of color, hosted the Giving Boutique for over 5,000 homeless youth, provided grants to nonprofits, pitched and landed a TV show, and in total we’ve collected over 750,000 items!! And the list goes on and on, but all we can say is look at God and THANK YOU so very much to everyone that has supported us along this journey. Every volunteer, each celebrity supporter, every donor, for every like, share, RT or repost we are so grateful. We have so much more to do as this journey continues, thank you Good People for being here with us!
In celebration of 4 years in business we invite you to please support our crowd-funding campaign to raise $4,000 to support 4 BCG initiatives: the Giving Boutique a clothing campaign for homeless youth. The Wealth Project campaign, an initiative to help end poverty and build wealth in the poorest of our communities, Sunday Soul in October we’ll celebrate two years of feeding the homeless, this year we took Sunday Soul to DC and to Charlotte and our goal is to expand and offer this initiative to five cities every month. Lastly we are opening a Food Kitchen in Atlanta, the Soul Kitchen! The goal is 1,000 people donating just $4! Click here to donate and even if you can’t support with a donation, please spread the word every dollar counts.
Thank you to everyone who has ever supported us, every like, every repost or RT, every sponsor, every celebrity supporter and every volunteer; without you none of what we do would be possible – Giving is Good!
Humbly Serving,
Team BCG
