Hyundai Hope On Wheels (HHOW) celebrated its 19th year in support of pediatric cancer totaling over $130 million funded towards cancer research during the New York International Autoshow at the Jacob Javits Center. Families of children affected by cancer, doctors, influencers and Hyundai executives converged for an evening honoring children cancer survivors and the doctors, nurses, staff who help make it happen.
The Hope on Wheels National Youth Ambassadors Ryan Darby and Hannah Adams along with Hyundai Motor America’s President and CEO, Jerry Flannery shared their own personal experience and triumph in their fight against cancer. The reception themed “Super Heros Wear Labcoats”, hosted by award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien, featured a formal check presentation to institutions from around the country committed to the fight to end childhood cancer receiving $15 million in donations combined. The night ended with a live music performance by singer-songwriter, Luke Wade alumni of NBC’s The Voice.
