Project Hygiene™ is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established to support underprivileged youth ages 10-18 by promoting Health and Wellness while denouncing bullying. Its main goal is to give back to underprivileged youth and their families by supporting programs that foster personal growth and wellness throughout the USA. Project Hygiene produces a series of programs
and campaigns throughout the year such as their Bullying Prevention workshop, Toiletry Drives, and Night of Giving concert. The programs give a unique opportunity to put a spotlight on the importance of good hygiene and the effects of poor hygiene on our young people, which in turn results in bullying. Each of those events serves as toiletry drives and fundraisers with the donations going to support other 501(c) 3 organizations that serve within those targeted communities.
In March 2014 Project Hygiene donated over 1,000 toiletries to 22 center and shelters assisting women and children. Again this March to honor Women’s History Month, Project Hygiene wanted to lend a helping hand to women and children who reside in shelters and transitional housing. Therefore, the 2nd Annual “Women Give, Women Receive” campaign is back again in 2015. The campaign will launch on March 10th and will end on March 31st. During the 21 days of giving, Project Hygiene, will donate toiletry items to 21 women shelters and centers. During the campaign days a new center/shelter will be announced via Project Hygiene’s social media each day and donations will be mailed accordingly.
As the 2nd Annual campaign moves forward, Project Hygiene has decided to partner with Bowie State University Graduate Student Association (GSA) at Bowie State University. GSA has come on board to support the “Women Give, Women Receive” campaign and will host a Project Hygiene toiletry drive on Bowie State’s campus and all toiletry items will be donated towards the campaign.
