Amy Brenneman of ABC’s Private Practice hosted the “I Have a Dream” Foundation Los Angeles’ 13th Annual Gospel Brunch honoring Michael Wright and Earl E. Gates, Jr.
Michael Wright (Executive Vice President and Head of Programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies) and Earl E. Gales Jr. (Chairman of Jenkins/Gales & Martinez) received this year’s annual “I Have a Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles’ “Dream Keeper Award.” The “Dream Keeper Award” is presented annually to members of the community who share the foundation’s vision of a strong commitment to mentor and foster the academic development of at risk children in Los Angeles. The recipients of the “Dream Keeper Awards” are celebrated, as well as the honor and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose words inspired the “I Have a Dream” movement.
THE MISSION
The “I Have A Dream” Foundation empowers children in low-income communities to achieve higher education and fulfill their leadership potential by providing them with guaranteed tuition support and equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and habits they need to gain entry to higher education and succeed in college and beyond.
By helping our Dreamers gain access to college, we are putting our Dreamers on a different academic and life trajectory, while having a broader impact on the students’ families and the generations that follow.
