Meisha Card is Founder, CEO and Director of Threshing Floor Academy of Arts and Sciences, Inc., an innovative children’s art and music program servicing Fulton, DeKalb and Gwinnett counties. The Former Special Needs Kindergarten teacher and Family and Child Advocate founded the academy
Threshing Floor Academy of Arts and Sciences, Inc. was established in January of 2008 with the mission of empowering families and children, equipping them with the skills and resources needed to effectively identify and pursue their God given purpose in life.
Their mission is accomplished through the provision of private and small- group children’s art, music, dance and culinary arts classes as well as small group infant and toddler music and art appreciation classes. The academy also houses a children’s bookstore that provides ongoing literacy programming and quality books for children and youth. Threshing Floor Academy provides quality and innovative arts and literacy programming to public schools and agencies serving families and children through the provision of an Arts in Schools Program and Authors in Schools Program.
Threshing Floor Academy is a 2011 Target Arts and Culture in Schools Grant Recipient as well as a semi-finalist in Atlanta’s Trinity Avenue Urban Farm Design Competition!
