Continuing an incredible year for Steve Harvey and Family Feud host Steve Harvey, now is the time of year for the award-winning author, radio and TV host to kick off the award nominations for this year’s11^th Annual Ford Neighborhood Awards show (formerly the Hoodie Awards) – one of the most-anticipated events Harvey hosts annually in Las Vegas, seeking the nation’s best community leaders, teachers, churches, businesses and more. This year’s Ford Neighborhood Awards show hosted by Steve Harvey promises to be another star-studded blowout Las Vegas celebration, with a special evening in store for the Top 48 Neighborhood Awards nominees, fans and other guests at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. During the evening, the Ford Neighborhood Awards show will include a special presentation from title sponsor Ford for the Best Community Leader category winner, who will receive a donation from Ford for $30,000 to be used towards their non-profit organization, yes you read right $30,000!

Marking the cornerstone of a blowout three-day weekend of events that runs Friday, August 9^th to Sunday, August 11^th, the 2013 Ford Neighborhood Awards show will take place on Saturday, August 10^th, presenting top community honors in 12 Neighborhood Awards categories to neighborhoods across the country, with a starring line-up of entertainment that includes performances from the legendary Chaka Khan, Jaheim and Fantasia, and celebrity presenters including Anthony Hamilton, RonReaco Lee, Salli Richardson, Tamara Tunie, Tichina Arnold, and Judge Greg Mathis, to name a few.

With Hoodie Awards presented in twelve categories, this year’s Neighborhood Awards nominations period runs from Monday, May 13^th to Wednesday, May 29^th, with submissions accepted in one category per day. Unlike any other awards show, with twelve non-traditional awards honoring everyday men and women who inspire their neighborhoods through their excellence and contributions, the field is wide open for anyone to submit nominations in every category, to make the final list of 48 nominees – from communities throwing their support behind past nominees to garner a repeat or first-time win – to nominating new people and organizations for their impactful service and dedication.
