Greetings BCG Family,
Thanks for checking us out for the official launch of Black Celebrity Giving (BCG); my name is Jasmine Crowe and I founded BCG in February. Anyone who knows me personally knows that at any given time, I am always driven to some kind of charity work. A scholarship pageant for African-American girls, a free football camp, or feeding the homeless; this is my lifelong passion and purpose in life. I am constantly seeking insight on social change and doing my part to make the world a better place.
BCG was born from my personal experiences as a publicist. Quite often it was a challenge to get true and deserved media coverage of causes and good deeds in our communities; even with celebrities. You may frequently come across a photo of a celebrity at a charity event on other blogs, but do you ever know where they are or what’s the cause and how you can help? I hope you become intrigued by the good side of so many of your favorite celebrities and are encouraged to do your part in creating social change in your local community.
Rather you are drawn to Illiteracy, AIDS, Going Green, the Prison Industrial Complex, Domestic Violence, or Cancer; your cause is here and so is your celebrity. It’s amazing, but true there truly is a celeb who is giving back to nearly every cause.
I have to thank everyone who helped me build this vision; my good friend and fellow BCG blogger Jazzy ~ @Traveljonez, our staff interns Brittany ~ @FathomMYlove & Marli ~ @Marlicbby, our site designer Luvvie ~@iluvvit and all of my trusted advisers and dear friends. I am humbled by the love and outpouring of well wishes. Much love to everyone.
We always are looking for your feedback as well as partnership opportunities. If you have any good news, suggestions, or inquires, you may reach at us jasmine@blackcelebritygiving.com and jazzy@blackcelebritygiving.com .
Again Thanks and Welcome !

I truly love and respect the great things our celebrity do. But, you never find them doing anything in small/medium size communities. Why???? They have faithful followers here as well, but we are simply ignored. ,aye you can help us with this, we have youth programs where our youth look up to them and only get to see them in magazines or on TV. Some celebratites are only mile away and won’t consider visiting. What can we do about this?
Love the site!
