Next Week York University’s Black Student Alliance will be having their   “9th Annual Black Voices Conference: Breaking Our Barriers; How Our Struggles Can Turn Into Strengths”. The purpose of the event is to equip those attending with tools and workable strategies that can be applied to everyday life and toward career, academic, health and relationship aspirations. To provide a space for attendees to meet with young working professionals in their respective fields with the chance to network and learn. The two day series will include keynote speaker Issac Olowolafe. The event will host multiple workshops on the topics of relationships and intimacy, violence, youth empowerment, financial health and much more.

The York United Black Students’ Alliance (YUBSA) is a non-profit community service group whose mandate is to develop programs that assist Black students academically, financially, and socially, while at York University. Also, it is important to highlight the fact that YUBSA is a pan-Africanist organization that services all students and people atYork University and the wider community that adhere to the racial identity of “Black” despite their nationalistic identities

He is a graduate from the University of Toronto with a B.A in Economics and married with a baby girl.
