Young Jeezy, The National Lighthouse Foundation, and The Core DJs, will present the MetroPlex Atl Community Outreach Weekend at the MetroPlex Compound located at 1959 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30315 from May 18-20, 2012.
Metroplex Atl is a 125,000 square foot mega entertainment complex that offers entertainment for the entire family such as a 30 lane bowling alley, full basketball court, boxing gym, skating rink, and inflatable playland for kids. Over 5,000 people are expected to attend the MetroPlex Atl Community Outreach Weekend which will feature voter registration, family fun day events, a celebrity basketball game, food, vendors and more.
“We are really excited to present this great event for the community. We are also very proud of the entertainment and local business community for coming together and providing resources and opportunities for families in this area”, say Bobby Hill of Chance Hill Productions, one of the main sponsors for the weekend.
To kick off the weekend The Core Dj’s Tony Neal will host an 80’s/90’s Skating Party starting at 10:00 pm on Friday. Saturday’s Family Fun Day is just $3 per person and will include live entertainment, skating, bowling, video games, food and more. Also on Saturday, is the Celebrity Basketball game with Djs and celebrities vs. artists and producers coached by former NBA players Derek Anderson and Derrick Coleman. To add to the festivities, the game will feature a Trayvon Martin presentation at halftime. In preparation for the upcoming elections, event guests will have access to voter registration and education stations throughout the facility. The weekend will wrap up Sunday afternoon with a community cookout.
